It is OFFICIAL!

This entry is for you, Diane... xoxoxo Sorry I haven't posted for almost a week. We have been crazy busy here, in the OC Tuesday, May 15 was "inspection" date. We were confident, yet nervous. Turns out, all we have to do is install CO2/smoke detectors (now, we just have smoke and the plug in CO2), and fix the way the garage door is hooked up (thanks, Johnny!!!) Ohhhh...and the roof. But we knew that before we even put the house on the market. In the process of getting some bids to have that done...and it will be done in the next two weeks. So...as of June 15, we will no longer live here. The plan? A plan? Ann and Wally have a plan???? But of course we do... hahahahaha. The apartment at The Gables--on the corner of Howell and Drexel in Oak Creek. 3 bedrooms 2 full bathrooms. The FIRST time in over 15 years that we will not have to share a bathroom with our kids!! Pool, etc. "Balcony"---not going to encourage more than one person on that balcony at a time....yikes! We hope to move out of Fieldpointe Dr and into the Gables the weekend of June 9/10. A BIG BIG Thank you to David and Melissa and my Mom for helping pack and move 95% of everything that is NOT going to the apartment OUT of the house and into the storage unit. As I sit here, I am on one half of the sectional couch--the other half is in the family room. Where there once was a piano and a chair (with no arms)..now sits boxes, full of things for storage..and a pile for Goodwill. We should take these to where they belong--but it is so nice and cool in the house, and so hot outside.... Thursday, May 24 is the FINAL meeting with the builders. We meet with the expeditor and sign the final plans. Then, we can sit back in our tiny apartment and let everything happnen. I promise I will blog more--when I know more. It seems that the St. Joseph statue has worked. Diane: I will put it in the mail for you!!! hahaha Bye bye for now...

Forgiving

I am trying to find peace in all this—

Having trouble.

Found these in some reading:

Nurse resentment and you are never released.
Forgive your parent for the past—or the past forever holds you, a permanent child.

Forgiveness is giving up all hope of having had a better past.

These seem to be helping—even if just a little bit.

The Hopping of the Blogs

I have been blog hopping...are you familiar? Starting at one blog and then clicking on the "blogs" that appear that the writer enjoys. For some reason, these blogs are leading to me confirm my faith--and here I am writing about it.

I read something to the affect of : I need to learn that being out of control of a situation is OK--that I am never "really" in control...God is. He knows the path I am on and I must put my trust in Him.

That is sound advice..hard to remember, but miracles take time.

I am praying for strong faith...that He knows what is best for me and will lead me to parent my kids in the best way possible. Because often times I fail at that.

I need to learn to say I am sorry when I slip up, and have faith that my hubby and kids will forgive me. This life thing--it is a work in progress....

Bucket Lists

One of my favorite phrases--put "that" on my bucket list...but where is my bucket list? In head, in a book--it has to be somewhere. My brother and I were discussing a few things--waking up to palm trees on Christmas is on our list...so is Thanksgiving at our cottage...These are longer term goals.

What about my short term bucket list? Perhaps a daily bucket list? Ideas: Get up with a smile on my face...make dinner with success...help kids with homework--you know what I mean. Sometimes it takes all you have to make a cup of coffee.

So today through tomorrow, I am going to focus on the day to day..to try to see the good things in my "bucket"--and perhaps, I will find some surprise things that God has put there for me...sunrises on the way to work, peanut butter m/m in the vending machine..laundry done when I get home....
